The God Honoring Home

The Christian home stands as a foundational cornerstone in the flourishing of the Christian Church, a vital unit aligned with God's will. It serves as the backbone of the nation, preserving the essence of civilization. Within a Christian home, the bond of genuine Christian love between parents forms the bedrock, encompassing a place where children are nurtured and guided spiritually. 

The acknowledgment of the Lord Jesus as not only the nominal head but the true leader of the home is paramount, emphasizing the significance of daily family worship. Any disruption in this divine order opens the door for the adversary to sow seeds of discord and harm upon the family, manifesting in issues such as learning difficulties, identity crises, or rebellion among the children. God's design is clear, indicating the husband's role as the spiritual leader, the priest ordained to guide and safeguard the sanctity of the Christian home.

What happens when the house is out of order? Children are impacted with all types of learning disabilities such as: dislexia, mental retardation, even homosexuality confusion, autism, etc. 

God-fearing Fathers: God has placed the husband as head of the home Gen. 18:19. Abraham commanded his household faithfully. The household includes the wife, children, and servants.

Eph. 5:23, "For the husband is head of the wife, even as Christ is head of the church."

This is God’s order and the home that reverses it breaks God’s plan and destroys the peace of that home.

This does not mean that the wife is a slave beneath the husband’s feet. She is a helpmeet, taken from his side to remain at his side, an equal partner.

The verse from Ephesians 5:25 emphasizes the profound and selfless love that husbands are called to have for their wives – mirroring the sacrificial love of Christ for the church. This love isn't simply about respect, but rather encompasses the weight of genuine compassion seen in 1 Corinthians 13, enduring through all seasons of life. Furthermore, it suggests that when a husband is perceived as being out of order or making wrong decisions, it's advised for wives to trust in God's guidance rather than confronting their spouse directly. This approach to dealing with challenges within marriage can lead to a deepening of trust, the cultivation of serenity, and the blossoming of divine peace within the relationship.

Now, if the husband asks your advise, you have a right to your opinion or thoughts about issue but he is the ultimate decision maker and whatever he decides, you have to honor his decision even when it is wrong.

When a wife nags or corrects a husband, it only puts the husband in defense and only creates division and confusion in the household. More things are done in prayer. You see God is the husband's covering and when you overstep your boundaries of the order, then you are interfering in God's ways. For the wife, it only shows the wife lacks trust in her husband or God. Read Proverbs 31 in which gives great instructions to the wife.

In today's society, where moral standards seem to be increasingly lenient, it's essential to uphold the values of faithfulness and honesty in marriage as mandated by God. The commitment to fidelity is not a mere social construct but a divine expectation, emphasizing the importance of supporting and comforting one's partner through life's challenges. 

While emotional detachment may be common among husbands, it is crucial for them to stand by their wives, offering strength and reassurance as their protector. Collaboration and mutual consultation between spouses are vital, highlighting the unity and teamwork required in a successful marriage. Despite differences in opinions, honoring and respecting each other's decisions remains paramount, fostering a harmonious and respectful relationship grounded in trust and love.

By virtue of marriage, the bond formed between two individuals is deep and significant. As seen in Genesis 31:4-7 and further emphasized by Jacob's wives in verse 16, a spouse's commitment not only embodies unity but also reflects reverence for God's guidance. The importance of prioritizing Christ, as stated in Luke 14:26, is paramount for a Christian husband. 

Consequently, a bold reminder echoes that a husband's love for his wife should always be infused with his higher devotion to Christ. Should he falter in maintaining this balance, it falls upon the wife to fervently pray for her husband's spiritual growth and uphold him through faithful intercession. The foundation of a harmonious marriage lies in the intertwining of individual faith and a shared commitment to honoring God above all else.

In a household where tradition and faith intertwine, the husband assumes the role of the family priest, tasked with creating a sacred space for daily worship and leading grace at meal times. Anchored in biblical principles, the husband's responsibilities echo the sacrificial acts of Job, who offered sacrifices on behalf of his family as outlined in Job 1:5. Surrounding these men of faith, god-fearing mothers play an equally crucial role, shaping the greatness of their loved ones. 

Whether as a godly mother or devoted wife, these women are hailed as remarkable influences, with their love and support serving as invaluable assets. Embracing the teachings of Luke 14:26, a wife's primary allegiance lies with Jesus Christ, followed by a commitment to honor and obey her husband, as articulated in Ephesians 5:22 - emphasizing the concept of submitting to one's husband, trusting in the divine order even through challenging decisions.

Sarah exemplified obedience in the Bible, as mentioned in 1 Peter 3:6, highlighting her respect for Abraham. Today, in a world where such submission is challenging for modern wives, the biblical lesson remains clear – embracing God's plan leads to true happiness and fulfillment. 

The Scriptures elaborate in 1 Timothy 2:11-15, emphasizing Eve's role in the original sin and its consequences, as stated in Genesis 3:16. Even in scenarios where the husband may not share her faith, a woman is called to lead spiritually while remaining submissive to her spouse. Trusting in God's provision of wisdom and grace, a Christian home thrives when both parents prioritize their love for Jesus, embodying the ideal model of a God-centered family.

In the sacred institution of marriage, the role of a wife transcends mere respect and obedience; it encompasses love and adornment through good works as outlined in biblical scriptures. A bold wife not only honors her husband but also showers him with affection, recognizing his need for emotional sustenance. Forgoing material adornments, she seeks to embellish herself with inner virtues like modesty and sobriety, virtues often overlooked in today's society. 

Embracing a meek and quiet spirit, she cultivates a demeanor that brings peace and harmony to her household, mirroring the exemplary qualities of a good wife and mother as extolled in Proverbs. A virtuous woman, whose worth surpasses even the most precious of rubies, becomes a priceless gift from the Divine, enriching the lives of her husband and family with her unwavering love and dedication.

Prov. 31:12, "She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life."

Wives play a crucial role in the family and deserve appreciation and praise as per Prov. 31:28. Children and husbands alike should recognize and celebrate the contributions of wives. The passage emphasizes the significance of acknowledging a wife's efforts and celebrating her virtues. God-fearing parents are also highlighted, emphasizing the importance of children in a home. 

Deliberately hindering the birth of a family is seen as disobeying God's command to multiply and populate the earth. While some couples may face challenges in conceiving, it is essential to trust in God's plan. Envy and jealousy are cautioned against, as they can bring negativity and hinder fertility. It is essential to create a harmonious and appreciative environment within the family unit to uphold God's blessings.

Parents, it is crucial to understand that your children are an invaluable gift from the Lord! The love you show your children is not just recommended but commanded in Titus 2:4. Don't underestimate the impact of bringing them to the Lord early on, as seen in Matthew 19:13,14. Proverbs 22:6 emphasizes the responsibility parents have in training and disciplining children according to the ways of the Lord. 

Remember, it is essential to prioritize their spiritual growth by ensuring they attend Sunday School and Church regularly. So, make a bold commitment to instill these values in your children's lives today!

It is paramount for parents to instill the values of Bible stories and faith in their children from a young age. Beyond simply teaching these stories, actively involving children in family prayers can help establish a strong foundation of faith and obedience to God's laws. Drawing from the consequences faced by Eli due to his inability to discipline his sons, it becomes evident that parents must grasp the importance of guiding their children towards righteousness. 

Providing for children's basic needs and supporting their educational and vocational pursuits is not just an obligation but a responsibility outlined in Scriptures. It is crucial for parents to lead by example, steering clear from actions that could provoke resentment in their children, such as resorting to physical discipline in moments of frustration. 

Emphasizing love, guidance, and understanding preserves the sanctity of parent-child relationships, fostering a nurturing environment for children's growth and development. Engaging in harmful behaviors like physical punishment when upset is unequivocally unacceptable.

Above all, let godly parents pray for their children. Pray that they will be saved. Pray that they will overcome evil, etc.

Honoring one's parents is a timeless principle that sets the foundation for a harmonious family structure. In biblical examples such as Isaac, Samuel, and even Jesus Himself, we witness the virtues of obedience and respect towards parents, emphasizing the importance of family unity. 

The significance of a family altar, where Christ is recognized as the cornerstone, cannot be understated. Love serves as the bonding agent that fortifies the Christian home, fostering a nurturing environment where each family member can flourish. However, when a household is disordered, chaos ensues, creating a breeding ground for confusion and turmoil, particularly impacting children. 

This disorder can pave the way for the enemy to sow seeds of destruction, leading to various challenges like learning disabilities and gender confusion. It is crucial to address any disharmony within the home promptly, seeking God's guidance to restore order and harmony. By prioritizing faith, trust, and obedience to God's plan, families can strive towards creating a Christian home where joy and peace abound, fulfilling the promise of a blessed and fulfilling family life.
