Yes I can do it - Confidence Comes from Doing Hard Things
“If fear is holding you back?"
The truth is, according to God's Word, "we can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth" - Phil. 4:13. Our confidence is in the Lord - the spirit and not the flesh. It is trusting in the Lord to do the hard things in life. In all these things, we are "more than conquerors through him that loved us," according to Romans 8:37.
Don't let fear stop you from moving forward. Step out in readiness or desire with God's help. There is no "perfect" condition. Our walk with the Lord is based on faith that He is in control.
We are overcome according to 1 John 4:4 "You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world." Trust Him and move forward. Refrain from getting stuck in the past, which hurts past failures or disappointments. You cannot unscramble eggs. What is done is done. Forgive yourself because He has already forgiven you. The enemy wants you stuck reflecting on your failures. So, stop it! Looking backward only keeps you from moving forward. Put your past failures on the cross and forgive yourself for escaping the enemy's camp. Refuse to look back there. Stay in the present and not in the past.
The enemy's trick is to get you stuck with past failures, hurts, and disappointments. Look at them as opportunities to learn from them. We are only passing through on this earth, a place to grow and conquer our fears, trust the Lord, and become more like Him. The more you trust Him, the more you build your confidence, muscle, and faith in the Lord. He is for you who can be against you - Romans 8:31?
Choose today to trust God to conquer fear and anxiety. Are we going to become immune to fear and anxiety? No, but it is what we do with the emotion of fear and the outcome of anxiety by casting our cares to Him because He cares for you - 1 Peter 5:7.
