How to Overcome Fear in Life For Your Health

How to Overcome Fear in Life for Your Health

How to Overcome Fear Biblically?

How To fight Fears

How to Fight Fear, Stress, and Worry!

How to Remove Fear from mind and heart?

Worry and fear do not come from God but exhaust the power God gives us to face everyday problems and to carry out responsibilities. These are sinful wastes.  Fear is not God’s character but comes from the kingdom of darkness. There are 365 scriptures on fear. Fear is the opposite of faith. Scriptures that will helpyou remove fear from mind and heart.

Fret not He loves you (John 13:1)

Faint note He holds you (Psalm 139:10)

Fear not He keeps you (Psalm 121:5)

There is biblical and scientific evidence that the diseases of today are rooted in sin.  Why is it not trusting God? 1 John 4:18 says perfect love casts out fear.

Fear is the opposite of faith, and fear can manifest in worry, anxiety, stress, panic attacks, OCD, etc.  Continual fear produces dis-ease such as:

Heart disease, skin rashes, anxiety attacks, feeling overwhelmed, heart palpitations, stomach issues such as gurt, back pain, compromised immune system, anxiety and stress, colds,  etc.

Again, fear and worry are sin issues. Fear is a barrier to the promises of God. The enemy knows this and continues to get us to worry through fiery darts he cast in our thinking. The scientific community understands how our emotions affect our bodies; fear is the biggest issue.

The limbic system is where our protective emotions, including fear, originate. The process of creating fear occurs unconsciously in the brain. Then, it stimulates the entire central nervous system, releasing different chemicals – depending on the thought, good or harmful chemicals are released. Fear releases cortisol. An overabundance of Cortisol destroys the adrenal glands, causing fatigue and exhaustion, even if a person gets eight hours of sleep.

Part of your brain controls the physical response to fear. It sends a signal directly to the amygdala, which stimulates the hypothalamus to produce a corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) that triggers the pituitary gland’s discharge of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), which enables the adrenal gland to secrete cortisol.  Again, Cortisol is a death hormone.

Cortisol in the bloodstream causes an increase in glucose production, providing the necessary fuel for the brain and muscles to deal with stress.

Cortisol is involved in several body functions, including:
  • Proper glucose metabolism
  • Regulation of blood pressure
  • Insulin release for blood sugar maintenance
  • Immune function
  • Inflammatory response

Fear is scientifically proven to be a cause of dis-ease. ScienceDaily (Mar. 26, 2008) states intense fear can make our blood clot and increase the risk of thrombosis or heart attack. Anxiety patients have a statistically higher risk of dying from heart disease by a factor of 3 or 4.

The Bible says fear results in heart problems: Men’s hearts fail for fear. Luke 21:26.

There are Healthy and Unhealthy Fears

Unhealthy fear is not of God but is projected from the kingdom of darkness. Fear and faith are opposites. We cannot run in a spirit of faith and a spirit of fear at the same time. We should not fear because God is with us. God said He will never leave or forsake us (Deu 31:6).

How do you Fight Fears?

When you fear something, cast your cares on the Lord because he cares 1 Peter 5:7. He also says not to worry about tomorrow and that the birds, flowers, etc., do not worry, so why should we worry?  You have to renew your means through the word of God, which is renewing the mind.  The more you counteract the fiery darts from Satan and use the Word of God, you will overcome your fears and every day worries.

Healthy fear helps us avoid life-threatening or dangerous situations that are God-given. Fear is the beginning of wisdom (Ps. 111:10).

My favorite scripture is “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” (1 John 4:18)

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Tim 1:7)

“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ” (2 Cor 10:5)

“That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days” (Deut 30:20a)

How to Fight Fears Quickly: Quench Out Fiery Darts From the Kingdom of Darkness

"Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked." (Ephesians 6:16).

How to Fight Fears: Praise God During Times of Stress

Instead of fretting, learn to praise the Lord in all situations and be content in all things, realizing God is for you and not against you and is working out your situation.  Faith is an active Word of God, believing in what you cannot see.  It is confidence in God and not yourself that will make everything turn out okay.

Does Fear Come From Our Genes

Does Fear Come From Our Genes?

Wiles of the Devil

Fear come from genes? Is Fear Genetic or Learned

Does it come from genes?

Is Fear genetic or learned? There are teachings that rage comes from your genes and fear comes from your genes.  Your genes don’t think.  Your genetic factor comprises amino acids that link up many things.  Your body didn’t know about having green eyes or blue eyes.  Thought does not exist apart from the intellect of rational thinking being visible or invisible.  Thought has never existed, nor will it live floating through space like ticker tape.  The thought comes from God, Satan’s kingdom, or self.  Temptation is not a sin.  It could be a sin tempting you to become one with it.

Genesis 3:1-11

Did fear exist in the garden before the fall? Not at all. Is fear of heights genetic as well? Before the fall, Adam and Eve had a God-conscious in a perfect world - heaven on earth - peace and harmony. It was after the fall that they had self-consciousness. They realized they were naked and afraid - Gen. 3:10. When they ate the apple, it was like the second heaven was opened. Then, the enemy could speak into their minds. Adam and Eve knew they sinned and were full of fear of God and hid from Him. Why, probably, Satan had a legal right to cause them to believe God would destroy them.

Didn't the Lord ask Adam where he was - Gen. 3:8? I'm sure the Lord knew where Adam and Eve were hiding. Adam said, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.” Gen. 3:10.

What did the Lord say next - Gen. 3:11? And he said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree I commanded you not to eat from?” Does that tell you that sin has a voice?

Two Dimensions of Thinking!

We think in two dimensions.  Your spirit man thinks, and your soul thinks.  Your body does not think.  Thought has only 3 origins:

  • your own intellect
  • God the holy spirit, or
  • A spiritual kingdom of Satan trying to get you to come to an agreement with its nature.

The Wiles of the Devil KJV

Paul talked about Ephesians 6:11-1211Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the devil's wiles.

Greek word wiles mean methods, means, plans, schemes, designs, ruin, bind, control, make you a slave, or let it be your master.  There is more to Christianity than being born again. Why would Paul be telling the church to put on the armor of God?  Paul talks about warfare here on the earth with invisible beings on earth.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”  Our battle is not with flesh and blood, not with others or yourself, but with something within me and others that is manifesting, and we let it use our created faculties as mediums of expression for the work of evil.

Discern Good and Evil

That is why we have to discern good and evil, as said in Hebrews 5:14 “But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”  We need to discern what is speaking to us in thought!  It is either the Lord speaking to us through the Holy Spirit or a disembodied being speaking to you in the spirit realm.

Fiery Darts bible verses

Also, in Ephesians 6:16, we must put out the fiery darts with our shield of faith. This means it doesn't receive the lies of the enemy. He always tries to steal your robe of righteousness - your identity and the love of Christ.

2 Cor. 10:5 says to cast down vain imaginations that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God. That means anything that comes into your mind to get you to think about hurts of the past, regrets, etc. Don't replay them. They create strongholds. That means to cast it down.

This is all part of renewing the mind to not give into the enemy's wiles - Eph 6:10-11.

Fear Not, Nor Be Dismayed

How to Remove Fear From Mind and Heart

Fear Not, Nor Be Dismayed

2 Chron. 20:15-17 And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's.

To morrow go ye down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz, and ye shall find them at the end of the brook before the wilderness of Jeruel.

Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you."

A time of distress for Israel when her enemies, Ammon and Moab, stood up against Israel encamped in En-Gedi.  He became afraid and set himself to seek the Lord, proclaiming a fast and a general convocation throughout Judah.

A lesson to learn is to turn to the Lord when adversaries are coming against you or speaking against you, either in the workplace or elsewhere.

King Jehoshaphat exhorts Judah to have faith in God.

What does he do next to deal with fear?

1.  Fast
2.  Prayer
3.  Praise and Worship

What did he do next? To pray

The prayer was:

1.  You are the God of our fathers
2.  You are the God of heaven
3.  You rule over all the kingdoms of the heathens
4.  You have all the power and might
5.  None can withstand You
6.  You are our God
7.  You drove the Canaanites out before Israel
8.  You gave their land to the seed of Your eternal friend, Abraham
9.  They have dwelled there
10. They have built You a sanctuary for Your name
11.  They have told us that when we are in trouble to stand before this house, in Your presence, crying to You in our affliction, You will hear and help.
12.  And now, the Ammonites, Moabites, and Edomites come to cast us out of our possession (your boss, evil people, evil family, evil workers, evil co-workers, evil friends)
13.  You will not judge them
14.  We have no might against such a company (3 companies - Moab, Ammon, and Edomites)
15.  We do not know what to do
16.  Our eyes are upon You.  It is getting our eyes off the situation but onto Christ with blind trust that He will see you through your situation (job, finances, children, bills, etc.)

Jehoshaphat believed the Lord and bowed his head to the ground, and all Judah fell before the Lord in worship.  They worshipped his character, the promise, and deliverance.

We can put our trust in the Lord.  He cares for us and cares about every detail of our lives.  When we get our eyes off the circumstances onto Him, it releases the Lord to move mightily. The Lord sent confusion to the camp.

Vs. 20-21  "And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe int he Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.  And when he had sonsulted with the people, he appointed Singers unto the LORD, and that should Praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever."

Trust in the Lord with all your heart

The appointment of singers to lead the army into battle must have been of divine will, for as soon as they began to sing and praise God, God set ambushes against the Moabites, Ammonites, and Edomites, and they were smitten.  God sent angels, and the enemy became confused, and they began to destroy each other.  This is a miraculous happening that, I'm sure, will take place at the battle of Armageddon.

vs. 22 And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Sear, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.

The Lesson in this story is to trust in the Lord with all your heart in all circumstances, get your eyes off the situation, and praise God in your situation. I mean praise, praise like the victory has already taken place with confidence and faith.

If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31b)
